This Privacy Policy explains personal information handling for the InstituteMaster website and the School Master Android application (package: com.schoolmaster.app), operated by Dezoryn Technology Private Limited. Schools and other institutions administer their own educational records and decide which supported features to enable. For questions about a school record, contact your institution first. 2. Information processed
Depending on your role and the features your institution uses, records may include names, account and login information, student and staff profiles, guardian contact details, photographs, admission information, class and section details, attendance, homework, study materials, examination results, fee records, communications and uploaded documents. Technical information can include IP addresses, device and application details, notification tokens and service logs. Information may be supplied by you, your guardian or your institution. Only provide information you are authorised to submit.
3. Purposes of processing
Information is used to provide accounts and role-based access, manage educational and administrative activities, record attendance and fees, deliver learning materials and notifications, respond to support requests, investigate service issues and protect the service against misuse. The information available to an individual user depends on their institutional role and permissions.
4. Camera, photographs, face attendance and location
Camera and photo access support features such as profile images, document uploads, QR attendance and face attendance where available. Face attendance involves processing facial images or derived face templates to compare an enrolled person with an attendance capture. These are sensitive data; the enrolment and matching arrangement can differ between mobile, school station and local desktop deployments. Your institution can explain where its enrolled images and templates are stored and who administers them. Location-enabled attendance uses location information to assess whether an attendance request is within the institution’s permitted area. Camera, face attendance and location features apply only where enabled; this policy does not grant permission for unrestricted or continuous monitoring. You can manage device permissions in Android settings. Denying a required permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working. Ask your institution about available attendance alternatives.
5. Notifications and service providers
School Master uses Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications. Notification delivery involves device or application identifiers and notification content processed by Google/Firebase. Hosting, storage, support and other infrastructure providers process information needed to deliver their respective services. If your institution enables online payments, the payment provider processes payment information under its own privacy policy; payment status and transaction references may be associated with fee records. 6. Access, sharing and disclosures
Educational records are made available to authorised institutional administrators, staff, students and guardians according to their roles. Service providers receive information relevant to the services they perform. Information may also be disclosed where legally required, to respond to a lawful request, or to investigate fraud, security incidents or misuse. Do not assume that information uploaded to an institutional account is visible only to you; your institution administers access to its records.
7. Security and your account
Account permissions, device permissions and institutional access settings help control access to information. Keep your password confidential, sign out of shared devices and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us if you believe a security incident has affected your information.
8. Retention and deletion
Retention depends on the type of record, the institution’s relationship with the service, operational needs and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Educational and financial records may need to be retained after a user stops using the application. Deletion requests are assessed with the responsible institution; records that must be retained for legal obligations or dispute resolution may be kept for those purposes. Deletion from active systems does not necessarily remove the same information immediately from backups. 9. Children and educational records
School Master supports educational institutions and may process records about children. Institutions and guardians should ensure appropriate authority and permissions for supplying student information and enabling sensitive features such as face attendance. A child or guardian seeking access, correction or deletion of a student record should contact the institution or the privacy contact below. Users should not upload unrelated information about children.
10. Access, correction and account removal
You or an authorised guardian can request access, correction or deletion of personal information by contacting your institution or emailing dezoryntechnology@gmail.com with the subject “School Master Privacy Request”. Include your institution’s name, your role and the account identifier needed to locate the record. Do not email passwords, payment credentials or facial templates. Identity and authority may need to be verified before a request is acted on. Account closure and deletion of institutional records are separate requests; records subject to retention obligations may remain. You can submit a request by email without signing into the app.
11. Processing locations
Your institution and service providers may process information in locations different from where you live. The processing locations depend on the hosting and provider arrangements used for your institution. Contact us for information relevant to your deployment and any applicable transfer requirements.
